1. General Provisions

Welcome to Gauge & Grain. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our physical premises, online resources, hobby shop purchases, workshop participations, and bespoke model layout services. By accessing our services, you agree to comply with the guidelines outlined below.

2. The Hobby Shop and Purchases

All items in our shop are subject to availability. We strive to ensure that product details, prices, and stock levels are accurate, but we reserve the right to correct any errors without prior notice.

• Items purchased in-store may be returned within 14 days of purchase, provided they are unopened, unused, and in their original packaging.
• Sale items, customized models, and specialized electronic components are non-refundable unless proven faulty at the point of sale.
• Proof of purchase is required for all returns or exchanges.

3. Workshops and Club Membership

Our workshops and club sessions are designed for enthusiasts to share skills and enjoy scale modelling in a supportive environment.

• Bookings: Workshop spaces must be booked in advance. Full payment is required to secure your place.
• Cancellations: If you need to cancel a workshop booking, please notify us at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations made with less notice are strictly non-refundable.
• Conduct: We operate a welcoming, inclusive space. We reserve the right to terminate club memberships or ask individuals to leave if their behavior compromises the safety or enjoyment of others, or poses a risk to the display layouts.

4. Custom Layout Builds

Gauge & Grain offers custom model railway design and construction services. These bespoke projects are governed by specific project agreements in addition to these general terms.

• A non-refundable design deposit is required before any conceptual or track planning work begins.
• Once a project scope is agreed upon, a formal timeline and payment schedule will be provided.
• Changes requested after the construction phase has commenced may incur additional material and labor charges.
• Upon completion and handover, we provide a standard operational demonstration. Ongoing maintenance beyond the agreed warranty period will be subject to standard service fees.

5. Liability and Safety

While visiting Gauge & Grain, please follow all safety instructions, especially around operational tracks, electrical components, and moving trains. We are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while on the premises, except where required by law. Visitors handle display models and interactive elements entirely at their own risk.
